2010 New Berlin Soap Box Derby Queen Announced

The New Berlin Soap Box Derby Commission would like to congratulate Karlee Anderson (Car B1) for being chosen as the 2010 New Berlin Soap Box Derby Queen.  Karlee was chosen among the New Berlin girls that submitted an application for Queen.

Karlee is 10 years old and is in the 5th grade at Ronald Reagan School. Her interests include Soccer, baseball, basketball,skate boarding and jet skiing. Congratulations on your reign as Queen, Karlee!

The queen cemerony will be held race day, Sunday September 12, 2010 at 10:00 am. All individuals are welcome to watch the ceremony that will be held near the starting ramps at Valley View Park.

Karlee's mom, Linda, was Queen in 1976 and her older sister, Rachel, was Queen in 2006

Our 2009 Queen, Maria Radish, will be racing car A98 again this year.

8:45 AM            Class C racing (drivers ages 12 through 16)

8:45 AM            Class B register and practice

10.00 AM          Queen ceremony

10:15 AM          Class B racing (drivers ages 9 through 11)

11:15 AM          Class S register and practice

12:30 PM          Class S racing (drivers all ages)

1:45 PM            Class A register and practice

2:30 PM            Class A racing (drivers ages 6 through 8)

4:00 PM            Class A, B, C finals and “Champion of Champions” races

Oconomowoc Residential Programs & Pantheon Industries

Boy Scout Troop 41 and New Berlin Soap Box Derby will conduct the 26th annual race for children with special needs. The race is run on the same day as the regular race. The cars, which are provided, are equipped with dual controls to allow a second driver (Boy Scout) to assist if necessary.

WHO MAY ENTER - all special children with a physical and /or cognitive challenge who live in New Berlin, or attend New Berlin schools, or attend Hoover Elementary, or attend S.N.A.P.

New 2010 Officers Elected

The Members of the New Berlin Soap Box Derby Commission elected officers for 2010.  Congratulations to the new officers.
